28 Jun Morellana, gold medal in OLIVE JAPAN 2021
We are once again in luck, because the OLIVE JAPAN International Extra Virgin Olive Oil competition, one of the most prestigious competitions in Asia, where the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in the awarding of medals to the best oils from all over the world meet, has awarded the Picuda, Picual and Hojiblanca varieties of Morellana with a Gold medal.
This competition is directed by the president of the Japan Olive Oil Sommelier Association Toshiya Tada, who acts as support and commissioner of the competition in order to guarantee the fairness of the results after being judged by the expert tasters who form each year the tasting panel of the competition that since 2012, receive more than 800 samples of extra virgin olive oil from 27 nations from all over the world.
Every year, our Morellana oils in some of their varieties, picuda, picual and hojiblanca, are awarded in one of their three categories, a fact that satisfies us as it is a sign of the quality of our oils, as well as a sign of the appreciation of the same in the Japanese market.
