ORIGIN

Following the advice of our expert Oil Mill Masters and to complete our range of single-variety oils, we have developed our organic extra virgin olive oil Morellana Hojiblanca, a dazzling organic olive oil in taste and quality for the most demanding palates.

TASTING PROFILE

A balanced, harmoneous and elegant aroma and flavour.  Enjoy the complexity of green and aromatic nuances of a freshly squeezed olive juice from the Hojiblanca variety.

Sweet on the palate with initial notes of olive leaf and herbaceous flavors. Mild bitterness with notes of artichoke and a very persistent pungency typical of the hojiblanca variety.

  • ALTITUDE

    From 700 to 1000 meters above sea level.

  • TERRAIN

    Traditional mountain olive grove with a steep slope.

  • CLIMATE

    Continental Mediterranean climate with average rainfall and marked thermal oscillations.

  • SOIL

    Clay with a high calcium carbonate content.

  • VARIETIES

    Hojiblanca variety olives from 100% unirregated groves.

  • THE MOMENT

    2nd half of October.

  • HARVEST

    By hand and shaking methods

  • EXTRACTION

    Not later than 4 hours after collection by continuous two-stage centrifugation.

  • STORAGE

    In stainless steel tanks with nitrogen.

  • FORMAT

    Bottle of 500ml and 100ml (only packs of 3)

"MORELLANA" is marketed filtered, providing a clean and stable product. The oil is stored in stainless steel tanks with an inert atmosphere that helps to maintain the olive juice's tasting profile complexity.
